great for heavy material removal
I have had this machine for about a year now. It is a good machine, but has a couple of issues. The end table for curve sanding is attached directly to the tracking arm, if you put to much pressure on it the belt will move either up or down. The table is nicely machined but it is so heavy getting it set to 90 degrees is a real chore. There is also a bad knocking or bumping were the belt seam is. I have tried reversing the direction of the belt and a new belt but it still persists. It came pre-wired for 220 and the instructions for wiring it to 110 were not current. The colors of the wires differed from the machine and the instuctions. A phone technician helped me even though he had the instructions from the manual. The on/off switch went bad during this process and was replaced in about a weeks time. It does require a 20 amp @110 volt line.With all this said, once you get used to the issues stated it is a very functional machine. I use it mainly for sanding drawer sides to fit, long...
